Children express themselves through play—and sometimes, what’s too big or complex to say with words shows up in fantasy, stories, or sand tray worlds. I work with children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, sadness, trauma, or attachment concerns, offering a developmentally attuned space where emotional growth and healing can unfold.
Who I Work With:
Children (ages 0–12) through psychodynamic play therapy
Teens (12–18) through talk and/or play therapy
Parents and caregivers participating in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
My Approach to Play Therapy:
Rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories, my play therapy work is child-led and exploratory. I use tools like fantasy play and sand tray work to help children externalize and work through complex emotional material.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP):
As a rostered CPP provider, I support young children (ages 0–6) and their caregivers who have experienced trauma together. These sessions focus on strengthening the parent-child bond and creating shared narratives of safety, healing, and connection.
The Role of Parents:
Therapy is most effective when caregivers are involved. I invite parents to reflect on their own histories and emotional responses, exploring how their child’s struggles affect them in uniquely personal ways. This work can offer clarity, insight, and deeper connection within the parent-child relationship. I do not typically see parents alone for general parenting strategies.
Session Info:
All play therapy sessions are held in person in West Los Angeles.
I maintain a limited number of play therapy cases to ensure thoughtful support for both child and parent.
